I went to look at Noel's thread on SampleTank and found out I a missing a lot of stuff. I don't have the Omnisynth_2 folder at all. I had a sampletank folder before I upgraded to 2014, but I guess it never installed correctly. I didn't use it in 2013 at all.

Where do I get those files???? If I get them from BIAB, I'll email support.

I have these files
sampletank_2.5_setup.exe (from 2013)
hi-q_instruments_sampletank_01.exe (2013)
hi-q_instruments_sampletank_02.exe (2014)

I guess I could uninstall all of sampletank and start over, but any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Kevin,

I double-checked my Sampletank instruments and I've highlighted those that I purchased from eSoundz when they were having a sale. Each one cost $15.

Presumably, the other unhighlighted folders are what should have come along with Sampletank and BIAB.

Also, I just double-checked the files I downloaded with 2013. They are below.

The first Hi-Q set is definitely part of 2013 (as you've already said). If you don't have this installation set in the either the download or on the USB drive, give PG Music and ring and ask if you can have a link to get it. They will have it on record that you purchased 2013 and so they are only supplying you with what you already should have.

Sampletank installation can cause a couple of issues. If you are on Win 7, you need to set the bbw.exe to "Administrator Permissions" to get Sampletank to work. On page two of THIS THREAD, I comprehensively go through checking to see that Sampletank works and possibilities why it might not. Mac, Larry Kehl and a couple of other forum members offer some great insights, too. It could be useful information for you.

Given the above, I find myself thinking that it might actually be easier to uninstall and then re-install Sampletank. That should help minimize any potential issue.

Hope this helps,
Noel

I am now trying to "authorize" my sampletank and it is asking for a serial number -- does anyone know what to put in there?

No wonder I didn't get it all installed the first time around (ha, ha).

*** Never mind, I found an old email!

Kevin,

What you need to do is to create an account at IK Multimedia (if you haven't already done so).

THIS LINK will help.

Regards,
Noel

EDIT: I know you don't need this anymore but I'll leave it in on the off-chance that someone stumbles across the thread when searching for what to do.

Reinstalled with these files

sampletank_2.5_setup.exe (from 2013)
hi-q_instruments_sampletank_01.exe (2013)
hi-q_instruments_sampletank_02.exe (2014)

and still no Omnisynth_2 folder at all. Dang!

Kevin,

The Omnisynth_2 folder is a separate purchase from Sonic Reality so you won't have the folder after running the 3 installers you mentioned.

Hope that helps,
Ed

Well there you have it! If another big sale comes around, I will check it out.

Thanks.
