Hello,

my problem:
I imported a MIDI from Primus-notationsoftware and added style.
Then I exported the result as MIDI but there are not all tracks saved in the file.
Two days ago I played with the same song and it worked well - all six tracks were within the file. But now they aren't.
I tried several times importing again, adding style and exporting as midi - doesn't work.
There schould be six tracks but are only two.

I tested with two different PCs. One with Win 7, the other with Win 10.
BIAB 2017 with latest update from 27. June.

Whats going wrong?

Regards,
Rainer
Rainer,

If you song had Realtracks present in the style, these do not save as MIDI because they are audio-based (which is a completely different system from MIDI).

If you want to get everything to save as MIDI, it is necessary to use a style that is entirely MIDI. With MIDI, however, the quality of the sound if determined by how good the software (or hardware) synthesiser is that plays the MIDI tracks.

What is your reason for wanting to save as MIDI rather then render the track to audio? If you render your backing to audio, you will create a WAV, mp3 or wma file that will sound identical to what you hear in BIAB.

Regards,
Noel
