When I load any style that uses Amplitude I get this message and it inserts random noise and limits my choices in the Amplitude plugin.

Does Amplitude come with BIAB? I assume so since they use it to deliver certain styles!

How do I install it or authorize it or whatever I need to do to get it to work?

Thanks in advance for any help!
Amplitude requires authorization at IK MultiMedia to use it with BIAB.

Presumably you have previously set up an account at IK?

If you go to IK Multimedia and log on to your account you may find the required authorization information there.
Thanks but...

I log into my IK account, copy the serial for Amplitude, wait for the prompt to enter it in BIAB, enter it, and...it does not work! Still says it is not authorized.

Is Amplitude included with BIAB?

You need to run IK's "Authorization Manager" for the program to run. Amplitube is embedded in the BIAB installer, just as the Authorization Manager.

However, it's simpler if you download the Amplitube installer, downloading it from IK's site, inside your account > User area > "My Programs" and re-run the installer until the Authorization Manager loads up and guide you to re-enter your codes.

HTH,
I tried it from inside BIAB and outside but it still does not work.
You need to assess two things: what version of Amplitube you have? V. 3.15c or v. 4.2?

The one that runs with BIAB is the 32-bit version of 3.15c. To run the Authorization Manager, you have to execute the program from the following folder:
Your hardisk (root) > Programs (x86) > IK Multimedia > Authorization Manager > Authorization Manager.exe (right-click > run as administrator)

Follow the instructions from the screen, and be sure you're connected to the Internet. If after you complete the process still doesn't work, then something else is wrong and you'll need to open a ticket with IK Multimedia; usually you're contacted from somebody with the support team within 48Hs, in business hours.

HTH,

Hey Pepe,

Thank you so much for your help!!! When I went through the steps you provided it worked! I really appreciate that!

I really dislike the IK authorization process. I've had so much trouble with their process that now, I simply don't even bother.

I won't buy their products for that reason.

In all fairness, I have used IK products in the past. Went through the process of downloading the download manager, connected the DAW to the internet to authorize the product, got it working and used it. Then when I updated the program and the new IK product installed itself, the old one stopped working.... said I needed to authorize it. just too much of a pain after the third time going through that whole thing.

So yeah, I stopped authorizing the IK stuff.

Well, if what you mean with "update" the program was to go from AT3 to AT4, I did that and what happened to you didn't happen to me.

If necessary, I can operate AT3 and AT4 simultaneously as standalone. As plug-ins, as AT4 is 64-bit only, I can only run it in the 64-bit version of Presonus Studio One v. 2.6. In Real Band or BIAB only the 32-bit, AT3 VST works.

Even SampleTank 2.5 works as a charm, which seems to drive people crazy everywhere I look.

You're welcome. John.

IK's Authorize process is not what I'd call rocket science anyway, so don't give me too much credit for that.

Yours very truly,
