One of the attractions of 2018 BIAB was the ability to make a chordsheet video, but apparently you cannot include note-based lyrics in the video or am I wrong about this? (making a karaoke style) (Very diappointed, this is one of the things I need to be able to do and thought I could now abandon having to use a screen capture of the big lyric window to create my videos.)

If there is a way, can someone enlighten me? I was able to easily make a video, but no lyrics and don't see any options.

When you entered the Video Creation Dialogue window, did you set the dropdown menu (#1 on below image) to "Melody" (#2)? (I'm assuming that your notation and associated lyrics are on the Melody track.)

Here are couple of small videos I've just made to show that (a) Bar Lyrics can be recorded to video and (b) Notation-based Lyrics can also be recorded to video.
