just tried to save a biab song to midi file *(all real tracks)
when i save as midi file it converts the real drums to midi but the other real tracks get frozen and only the drums track is saved as midi.

so, is biab supposed to save any track (midi or real track)to midi or will it only save midi tracks to midi.
i think i know the answer but hoping im wrong and that biab can actually
convert real track to midi.
thanks for any info.

The short answer is RealTracks are audio while MIDI is data so Band-in-a-Box does not convert RealTracks to MIDI.

Longer answer is some RealTracks have MIDI embedded for notation use but may, or may not be useful in a MIDI file because the data will not contain velocity or expression data.

If a RealTrack has MIDI for educational purposes (notes without expression), you can see that in two ways:

- in the RealTrack picker window
- as an underscore in the track name

Also, remember that some RealTracks may have associated MIDI that does contain expression. I believe an example is with Piano RealTracks, which have been produced and recorded on a MIDI capable keyboard (Clavinova?).

This is correct, as far as we have been told.
