hello
is it possible to change colours of part markers.

i can only get blue= A ...green = b.....c = orangey......d = pinkish

when i try add extra substyles to create more substyles ..ie, e,f,g,h etc
the same colours just repeat, ie......blue,green,orange,pink.
i have checked the display options but cant seem to find how to add extra colours.

You're in the right area for these settings. Click on the drop-down menu that I've labelled #2 on the image below and then scroll down to "Substyle" (#3)... now select whichever you want and set the colour.

i tried all the drop downs except that one, i didn't even notice it.

im sorted now with the colours.
