I know that there are a few different ways to adjust the volume of a pre-recorded MIDI track, bit I wonder which is the best option to reduce the "attack" of a chord. I have several MIDI tracks that I've recorded as guitar, but when I've added guitar chords to the lead, some of the chords are too "heavy" . I know that I can adjust the velocity individually through the piano roll or Notation mode, (very time consuming) but is there a better option?

In RealBand there is a MIDI data filter that allows you to set various ranges and settings that may allow you to set settings so that everything is filtered from editing except the data included within the range you specify.

Access it Edit\Midi\Change Velocities

Check the Data Filter box to access the filter options

Not sure that will do what you want but is the best option I know of to make a batch adjustment of specific ranges.

Thanks Charlie, I'll give that a try.
