Is there anything in the piano roll editor that allows you to snap to key? Similar to how you can with rhythms or if you used Moleodyn.

thanks!

Are you talking about vocal recordings? If so, check out GSnap. GSnap sort of works like auto-tune and I believe it is a free vst plug-in?

You can do that in Reaper then import back to Biab or do a search for RapidComposer up in the top right of this page, you can use it with Biab by importing Biab chord output midi track into RapidComposer, it will automatically snap the notes to the chords/scale.
You can load RapidComposerVST into Biab.

HearToLearn:

We need a bit more info.
I'm not sure what you mean by "snap to key".
In the BIAB Piano Roll window, you can set the "snap" value setting in the top LH corner of the window, that can be anywhere from "none" to a 32nd note triplet.

That allows you to move the notes (or enter new notes) onto the grid, and they will snap to the horizontal position of your snap value setting.

If you drag an existing note vertically, you can move it to any note you wish, but it won't "snap to key", if you mean will it stop at a vertical note position that is in the correct "key" that your song is in.

Give us a bit more detail and perhaps we can help.
Thanks!

In the Big Piano Settings you can color the notes and yellow is out of scale but it doesn't apply over to the piano roll notes also, I think I requested this years ago but there is usually a ten year lag !
Also see here http://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=418850

RapidComposer uses Blue=Scale note Green=Chord note and Red=Out or Passing note. The piano roll background color changes with the chord/scale in the chord track, you have customization of whatever colors you like.

Sorry if that was confusing.

Snap to Key is essential what pipeline is showing. I find it VERY handy for when I'm traveling and can't use a mouse. It's a little too easy for me to move to non-key notes. It's great if that's your intent; but for the most part, I'm not.

Hooktheory also has a similar feature.

Thanks so much for the replies. Now I have to decided if it's worth $80/$200 for me to have. MANY other cool features by the looks of it.

Thanks so much for the replies!

As mentioned Reaper will do it and it's free to try n try n try...
With RapidComposer you need to watch for the 30% OFF sales http://www.rapidcomposer.com/news.html

Here's some ReaScale guides:

Have a look at Kenny's video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRN5NToxBlw

and you can use reascale also to snap to chord https://reaperblog.net/2012/03/how-to-use-reascales/

https://stash.reaper.fm/v/8075/ZD-Ultimate.reascale

also if you install https://reapack.com/ then go to Extension menu > ReaPack > Browse
Search
Right click > Install > Apply
mpl Snap takes to scale
you will then find it in Actions > Main

Right click > Install > Apply
mpl Snap selected notes to scale
you will then find it in Actions > MIDI Editor (of piano roll editor)
or Force selected notes into key signature
