My BIAB 2018 is fairly stable. I have already purchased the upgrade to 2019 but based on all of the problems being reported I do not want to ruin my setup by upgrading at this time. I'll wait a month or two (hopefully no longer) until they get this all fixed.

BUT, I sure would love to be able to go ahead and access the new RealTracks and Styles I purchased! Any way to do this?

BTW, THANK YOU to the brave souls who have installed the upgrade and are working through the problems. I don't understand how these problems weren't mostly discovered and addressed before release but I appreciate you guys helping to expose them for PGM to fix!
I've upgraded to 2019, but I'm not using it because I've found LOTS of problems. It's still there, in c:\BB, because I'm exploring and testing it.

So I installed 2018 in a fresh folder (c:\bb2018), using custom Realdrums and Realtracks folders (c:\bb\realdrums and c:\bb\realtracks respectively)

I can use new (released with 2019) realdrums with 2018, although the info in the Realdrum picker window (tempo, style, etc.) is not showed correctly. The new realtracks (sets 301-328) don't appear on 2018, and therefore can't be used.
Yes, there is technically no reason they wouldn’t work except for the possible difficulty in finding them, particularly within styles. To my knowledge, there hasn’t been anything changed in the upgrade about the file structure etc.
John,

I agree with Matt.

As I sit here thinking about it, though, the ease of getting the new Realtrack, Realdrums, SuperMIDI tracks, etc., to play is not necessarily straightforward without installing the upgrade.

Realtracks require .ST2 and .XT2 files to be present in addition to the Realtrack audio.

I suspect, and this is something that I'd double-check with Kent (he's the guru!), if you manually install the RT sets 301-328 files into your 2018 folder, you will only be installing Realtrack and Realdrum related material; this should include the .ST2 and XT2 files. If I am correct, this would allow you to play around with the new audio material.

Try Live Help and see if you can arrange to talk to Kent about this.

Regards,
Noel
You just need to keep the 2019 files like
default.sol
DrumGrooveNames.txt
DrumStylesInfo2.txt
RDUserMemos.txt
etc..
then you should get all the drums n RealTracks in 2018.
You can just run the 2018 bbw.exe but if you still have issues you can revert back to 2018 but make a copy of the 2019 sol and other txt files in bb\Data first.
