After a forum member told me some forum members have sample tank 3 working in 64 bit Biab.

Can anybody verify this, as I cannot get it to work, and yes I can work in 32 bit just now.

But I want the 64 bit working and would love to hear from anybody who has it working.

I did some searching and I can't find a specific cross-reference to support that "some" are running ST3 successfully. Closest I get is Mario who says he has NI running multiple instances with good results in BB64.

Don't tell me ST3 is having troubles with BB-64bit?? Can anyone report favorably on this application?

Nope alas, i bought it a while ago, and since Cubase 9 i always used the included Halion Sonic SE, simply because it sounds better, even the jBridged 64bit works fine in BIAB 32 bit. ... F

I'll try to remember to give it a try this evening and see if I can run ST3.

I just tried SampleTank 3 (which is only 64-bit) and experience the following:

In 64-bit BIAB, I can see ST3 load and I can put an instrument on the appropriate track; however, even though I can see data being transmitted to it in the ST3 interface, I get no sound.

In 32-bit BIAB (and I have jbridge installed), I cannot even load ST3. I get a jbridge error and then an invalid plugin error.

In 32-bit RealBand, I can load ST3 on a track, specify an instrument matching the track channel (and of course, since ST3 is 64-bit, it loads in the background with jbridge), and it plays just fine.

I'll have to play with some other 64-bit VSTi's and see if it's universal or just specific to ST3.

UPDATE: I just tried with Kontakt 5 (which comes as both a 64-bit and 32-bit VSTi).

In 64-bit BIAB, the 64-bit Kontakt would load, but I get no sound.

In 32-bit BIAB, I can neither load the 64-bit Kontakt (I get a jbridge error), nor even the 32-bit Kontakt.

In 32-bit RealBand, I can load both the 32-bit Kontakt and the 64-bit Kontakt (jbridge allows it) - obviously not together, but by removing one or the other from the list and then loading the appropriate one.

So something is going strange with loading VSTi's in both 64-bit and 32-bit BIAB (for me, anyway). I'm running build 609.

This is a universal problem with build 609. I tried to get confirmation from PG but was not able to get tech support in time. I only know it is universal because I was using 64 bit vsti on 608 and it worked fine but was gone in 609. Same issue as you. Could see the the data triggering the vst but no sound. Tonight I reverted back 608 and sound is back

The 64 bit version in my opinion is not stable with any of the VSTi plugins I've tried, I can get Sampletank to work when I only load a single instrument such as "Piano", but as soon as I added a second instrument such as "bass", it became unresponsive when I try to play the song, all I hear is static, I can't even kill it in task manager I have to reboot the system, Kontakt seems to be more forgiving because I can kill BIAB in task manager when using it, but the results are similar. Right now I find the 64 bit version only usable with Realtracks and I've given up trying the VST too, it's not usable either. I just don't have the time to spend working with something that is this unstable.

John I found this strange because when the 64 bit BiaB came out I simultaneously ran 4 instances of Kontakt with no problems. So I just checked it again with the latest build and now I get no sound! I experience now is exactly like what you are experiencing.

One step forward and two steps back!

That's exactly how it is with me !!

I saw another post where if you go back to build 608, you get sound, but not in 609. So something happened there.

Beatmaster, Yes, that issue affects a few VSTi that use multiple channels, such as SampleTank 64. It will be fixed in next patch build, available by Monday.

Minted

Looking forward to that.

Thanks
