I put a song together, try to export it as mp3, and I get a message "access violation at address …...in module bbw.exe..."

Then BIAB freezes and I have to go into Task Manager to get out of it, and so lose my song.

Any ideas?

What Version of Windows and Band-in-a-Box are you currently running?

First, always make sure you are using the latest update for your version:

Next, try running Band-in-a-Box as an Administrator:

- Right-Click on the Band-in-a-Box Icon or bbw.exe in your bb folder.

- Go to Properties > Select the Compatibility tab

- On the lower half of the menu, ensure 'Always run this program as Administrator' is checked

- Hit Apply > Ok

- This will give Band-in-a-Box administrative privileges, and will avoid most Access Violation errors.

Please Note: When running Band-in-a-Box as an administrator, Windows will ask you if you want to let the program make changes to your computer each time you run the program. Just hit 'Ok' each time.

Please let us know if the problem persists.

Problem sorted by installing Coyote. I also changed to run as Administrator. Thanks to the Forum, and everyone for your help, much appreciated.
