Hi guys,
I have bought BB 2019 for Windows and I have a problem when recording audio. The first time I open the program and record my audio everthing is fine but if I make a mistake and kill the audio track and record a new take then the audio is offset when playing it back. The audio is push in time a mesure or so. The only way that I can avoid this is by killing the audio track, save the song, exit the program and reload the program to record another take.
This is very annoying, is there a patch that I need to install to fix this?
Thanks,
Robert
What do you have your audio settings - Audio driver type set at?

AISO or MME?

Also are you up to date with your BIAB patches? Currently it is patch 628.

Band-in-a-Box shifts existing audio two bars in the song project timeline to accommodate the two bar count-in. Band-in-a-Box only has one audio track for recording and playback.

I do not consider Band-in-a-Box to be the most user friendly digital recorder available. May I suggest prior to recording that you freeze your existing tracks, save your project and then record with RealBand. RealBand is a much more user friendly program to use as a recorder. It will open open song project files, generate your existing tracks and provide you with a much better recording experience.
BTW RobSerry, you would have received Realband with your 2019 BiaB purchase. So no investment needed other than the time to check it out.
RobSerry, welcome to the forum. It's easy to sync audio after it's been imported into BIAB either by recording live or importing an existing audio track. The process is the same for any audio track.

Open the Audio Editor (click on the Audio Editor radio button or Ctrl Shift A or Audio\Audio Edit Window )

Place your curser at the very beginning of the first beat of bar one - This will place a curser line

Right click your mouse and a menu will open

Select Mark this point as Bar 1 of the song

Start the song from the beginning to confirm the audio is properly synced with the BIAB generated tracks.

If not, repeat the mark selection to set the mark correctly

With the audio properly synced, Right click again and select Permanently apply Bar 1 offset to track by deleting or inserting silence

EDIT: Just click ok to whether this edit adds silence or deletes it when that message appears.

Save your project and continue to work on your song.
Hi guys,
I have installed the latest patch and tried all of your suggestions but unfortunately I'm still having the same problem.

When I open a song and record audio, the audio is perfectly in synced with my song. If I delete the audio (kill the audio) and record another take, the audio is not in synced anymore with the song. The audio start a beat late. The only way that I can avoid this is, delete the audio, save the song, close BIAB, re-open BIAB then record one more time. I hope someone knows how to fix this.
Thanks,
Robert
