Hello BIAB users:

I am using BIAB 2020 with Windows 7 64 bit. I also use Reaper.

I read the Pgmusic forum post

https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=459655

which said you could export a song from BIAB in the .XML format and this could then be imported (drag and drop) into Reaper and Reaper’s notation display would then display the song including the chord changes.

I tried this but it didn’t work. I got the two errors “Unkown Entity in Element Body” and “Could not import 1 of 1 items”.

I checked and Reaper can import .XML files but it could not import the BIAB export .XML. Do any of you have any suggestions?

Thanks so much,

Fritzer

My error. The BIAB file I was using for testing was corrupted. Other BIAB .XML exports loaded into Reaper just fine.

If you have the Biab Plugin version you can just load your song.SGU into the Biab Plugin then use the "Biab Plugin Chords" button in ReaTrak or use script below, just unfold it save it then reload it (save it with a new name as to not affect the original). You need to open bb\Song.txt when prompted (first run only).
Biab Plugin Chords to Reaper

ReaTrak import chords from biab plugin.lua
