Got a new song going in 4/4 time.

I can't seem to recall how to change a bar to allow one chord entry for each 1/4 beat?
(I may have another arrangement enigma but one a time for the moment :))

Would anyone care to educate this old bird?

Much thanks for chiming in.

Have a great day....

The comma should do it such as C,G,F,C.

The old memory here is going too, I forget a lot of stuff.

You're just saying that to make me feel good. smile

Still not working.
Trying to get each beat the bar to allow a chord entry.
In this case: Em, D, C, and stay on C through beat 4 of the measure.
Still only allowing me to enter one chord for two beats?
I need this option for several bars during the arrangement.

Did I mention "I'm an idiot"?

Thanks m....

That's how it's supposed to work. One measure = [Em, D | C, - ] beat 1-Em comma beat 2-D Beat 3 C comma leave beat 4 blank (or add the C again on beat 4 if you want.

If it's not working for you, try the reset to defaults option and restart BIAB. I don't think it's you....

Got it!
OK...I did not input the chord quite right.
I did: Em,D for beat 1&2 with NO spaces between them.
That did the trick.

Thanks Charlie (and ML) for your tutoring. smile....I may be back.

Hello,
this is something I've been looking for would you please clarify which worked... ,spaced or ,not space.

I believe that the space character is not relevant and should not be used.

In a 4/4 time signature, there are two cells. The first cell is for beats 1 & 2 and the second cell is for beats 3 & 4.

If you want a chord change on beat 1 and beat 2 then enter the data in the first (LH) cell as two values separated by a comma

E.g: Dm,Eb

If you want a chord change on beat 3 and beat 4 then enter the data in the second (RH) cell as two values separated by a comma

E.g: F7,Ab

If you only want the chord change on the 4th beat and not on the 3rd beat, enter a comma and the chord in the RH cell, e.g. ,Gm7

There is no need to enter a space character, and this probably breaks things.
I'm not even sure how he's entering a space into the chordsheet. When I try it myself, BB automatically starts playing and doesn't enter the space.

Options | Preferences | adjust "SPACEBAR key" options from drop-down menu:
-enters no chord
-plays from current position
-plays from start

Choose "enters no chord" and Playback will not start when you press the space bar.
