I am checking the new BiaB 2021 and realise that when I now want to change (in a midi song), a midi instrument through a real track (using the "best real track" option), the real track is loaded ok (with the = sign as it should show), but when playing the song there is no sound coming from the RT. This happens disregarding whether I use my external SD2 or an internal midi synth. The green sound bar in the mixer does not move at all and the added instrument does not give any sound.
This behaviour is only to be experienced with a midi song. Changing a RT within a RT song works all right as before...
I am "not amused" because mixing RTs and midi was a good feature in BiaB. Give me my mixes back!!

What was the name of the MIDI style that you were using?

Do you remember which RealTrack you added to the song?

I have tried it with several midi songs and several RT instruments, mainly guitars... The question is : can you reproduce this on your BiaB (2021) or is it just me?
I had no problem with BiaB 2020 and was doing this very often...

After you add the RealTrack to the song, are you pressing the Play button, or the Play-and-Generate button (has the + on it)?

I can reproduce the problem if I choose a new RealTrack, then press Play without regenerating. The new RealTrack is silent. However, that is the same behaviour as the 2020 version, so I just want to be clear because you said you are experiencing something different than 2020.

OK, I wanted to check your hint about Play/generate, but actually it suddendly worked... In the meantime, I had run down and re-booted my computer and it worked (as before!). In fact the question play/generate is not an issue because when I change the instrument to a RT it loads automatically the instrument and the song starts directly new...
