Hi, I have a chord sheet with alternating time - e.g. 1. bar is 3/4, 2. bar is 4/4, 3. bar is 3/4 and so on.
I go into bar settings and choose "number of beats this bar". But it doesn't work.
I'm using _CAVERNB Cavern Harmonica Country Ballad which is a 3/4 style.
Can't I have a 4/4 bar with this style - or what am I doing wrong ?
TIA,
Mads
Hi Mads,
One of BIAB's quirks is that if you are going to alternate between 3/4 and 4/4 time, it's necessary for the initial style to be a 4/4 one. Since you've chosen a 3/4 base style, BIAB will not allow you have bars with more than three beats in them.
What you can do is load in a 4/4 style and then change bar 1 to 3 beats. I haven't tried it recently but if that doesn't work, leave bar 1 as 4 beats and then start from the song from bar 2 and change that to a 3 beats or to a three beat style using bar settings.
Regards,
Noel
This one catches them every time.
It work's!
Thank's, Noel96 :-)

Presuming the first bar is 3 beats. Do you get a 4 beat count-in or a 3 beat count-in?

Sorry - didn't see your post until now..
I get a 4 beat count-in.
You can go back to your first post and edit it to mark it Resolved. This helps others who may be searching for the same info.

There's
a Wish List item here requesting that the count-in beats be resolved. You might give a vote to it.
