Hi Guys

First post... I've been using BIAB for a few months now but wanted now to explore making a "video" backing track. (say to upload to Youtube)

I have lyrics entered into a song using the bar lyrics method. I can view the scrolling (kinda) lyrics in the Big Lyrics window as the song plays within BIAB.

But, is there a way to "export" this into a video format of some kind? I see the MIDI export option to export as a .kar file, but I'm not getting how that is used, or what to do with it...

Also there is a "Karaoke Window" option under Big Lyrics, but it just gives me a blank screen. I feel like I'm missing something obvious!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Matt

PS: I am also using Studio One Professional and have Davinci video editor as well, but nevertheless I'm kinda new to this...

You are using bar based lyrics so if you render the chord sheet to video you will get the Lyrics and chords.
If you use note based lyrics you could create a video with KaraFun.

Hi Pipeline,

Thanks for responding.

I had actually seen your other post already, but was a bit confused by it and hoping it was "out of date" since it's several years old. I was hoping for something like a simple "Big Lyrics to video" feature existed.

Anyway, after posting, I did come across the "Save as Video" but I'm having trouble getting that to work (see error below) so I'm not sure what the output of that will be. However, I'm guessing it wont be simply scrolling lyrics.

I'm a bit confused about the .kar file / midi export option... Will that only export a karaoke file with lyrics and sound if using note based lyrics? I tried it with bar based and it seemed empty when trying to open it in KaraFun.

So, it seems that the best option right now is to use a third party video solution to get a karaoke video completed.

Error when attempting to save as video
(I get messages that the audio wav file is successfully created, but then an error that it cant be added to the video. When searching for the wav file, it does not exist in the location specified).

You can add note base lyrics and you will get them in the Big Lyric window, but it won't render to video.
I sent you a PM with some suggestions, let me know how you go.

Try using the latest version, here are the settings I used below.
If you right click the chord sheet > Display Options you can change the lyric size, color and font.
