Can someone tell me the difference between BIAB and Power Tracks?
I’ve been using Power Tracks for about 15 years and love it - does everything I need. I record tracks from my synth, guitars, vocals and drums.
What does BIAB do?
Thanks!
Bernie
BIAB creates tracks for you. It allows you to have parts played by real musicians (real tracks) and give you a completely different feel than just playing everything yourself. I look at it as being an arranger tool. It allows me to have musicians who play much better then me backing me up. There is no comparison.
We have a detailed explanation of the differences between Band-in-a-Box, RealBand and PowerTracks here: https://www.pgmusic.com/salesfaq5.htm#9

PowerTracks includes some RealDrums with it. Whereas Band-in-a-Box has both Realdrums and RealTracks included, so you could automatically generate a wider variety of instruments. Band-in-a-Box for Windows also comes with RealBand, which is a program that is very similar to PowerTracks in its layout.
