I find that the accompaniment iii-IV of many rap songs, constantly repeated, has a mysterious charm.

Some modern pasts can feel a bit cliché if they use too many chords.
I watched a lot of modern rap songs on youtube, mostly using iii-VI
Sometimes v-VI is also used in minor keys, it's the same thing.
It's like iii-IV in C major is Em-F
v-VI in A minor is also Em-F

Thanks for sharing! It's always important to understand the trends and music theory behind the type of music you would like to create.

It's great to analyze the patterns used in songs, and that's why we study them. I wouldn't worry about trying to generalize about what 'most' songs are, though, since things change so often in any modern music that is popular. Just file the knowledge away and use it when it's appropriate.

Now, if you can figure out what the next popular music will have, then you've got something!
