I use the _BEDTIME.STY style for some of my songs. It has a nice simple cello accompaniment track along with guitar, bass, drums, etc.. Can I print the notation for that cello track so I can give it to my cello partner for our duet?
Yes. The cello is transcribed on the Bass Clef.
Here are a couple of tips:
- In the notation window options, set the tranpose options preset to "concert - bass clef" (cello is a non transposing instrument notated on the bass clef).
- In the print options window, deselect' autoset clefs', and only select bass clef - that will take fewer pages to print.
Thanks for the responses. Sorry guys: but I'm not getting any notes printed. To be clear: I did not enter any "notation" on this tune; just chords. The cello player is playing simple lines over the chords. That is what I am trying to print.
Maybe it's that I don't know how to say "print the cello notes, not the "melody" of the song"...

Oops... wait... I think I've got it...... On the notation window, above the chord chart, there's a dropdown listing all the instruments.... I selected "cello" and got what I wanted.!.... Wow, thanks fellas.... I've been trying to figure this out for weeks (on and off). Long time (way before real tracks) user, but some things still stump me!...... bill
