Hardly Ever

I created this song using _CACTUS.STY (Cactus Songwriter Country Waltz) from the Xtra Styles pack.
I was looking for inspiration for this competition and didn't have to audition many of the new styles before my writers block became unblocked smile

Added my vocals and my guitar noodling afterwards.

I did enjoy!
There`s a nice ethereal Pink Floyd feel to the vocals and the chord changes. Very good guitar fills.
The ending fade seemed quite long, but didn`t detract for me.

Really nice effects across the vocals. Good match between the vocals and backing tracks. Great listen.

Thanks a lot Alyn. I've been working on an album so haven't had time to contribute here much lately.
The competition gave me a bit of an incentive to have a break from the album. The competition entries I have heard so far are great.

Really nice ethereal sound. Great contest submission. And I agree, it has a David Gilmour vibe to the vocals, sounds like it's really channeling the Dark Side of the Moon album's feel and groove.

Many thanks for your encouraging comments John. I am a big Floyd fan so I guess I'm heavily influenced by them.

I like the beautiful chord progression, the melancholy atmosphere and the harmonious singing. And of course the excellent Xtra style selection, I'll have to try it, maybe I'll get inspired too.

In my opinion this is one of the best submissions so far. It also has that, Richard Wright (Pink Floyd) vocal feel.
Beautifully arranged, perfect vocals.
Like others said a very nice esoteric feeling.

What a great sound! It's a terrific chord progression you've created. I really liked this.

All the best,

Noel,

Thanks very much for your kind comments.

After a break from songwriting I really have found the new Xtra styles in BIAB to be the inspiration I needed to get back on track. It still can't be beaten for getting an idea down quickly before you forget it. Anyway, I know I am "preaching to the converted" so I'll stop there smile

Thanks again,
Rec

Love the creative lyrics and production.
One of the best I've heard here in this genre.
Great job.
