Xtra Style: BOILER (Boiler Runaway Train PS Solo)
Category: Country
Title: Moonbeam

I originally wrote this song as rock/funk. I re-imagined it as a Monkees Mike Nesmith country rock number without the Texas twang. I have since revamped the song using the BOILER style RT. I added an additional percussion track, fiddle, and banjo to give it even more of a runaway train feel, verging on a train wreck. It turned into a bit of a manure kicker.

Boiler Tracks
BB RealBass 427 Bass, Acoustic, Bluegrass
BB RealDrums-TrainBeatBrushes
BB RealPiano 1662 Piano, Acoustic, Rhythm BossaNY

Lyrics

I took a walk on the water
to see what I'd find.
She gave me her best offer,
and then she healed me blind

She moves like liquid steam
She's a moonbeam

The way she sways in her hand me downs,
she plays a rhythm with me.
She's moving up from the underground.
She's got nothing that's free.

She moves like liquid steam
She's a moonbeam

In this man-made world I wonder
why she wants to pull me under?
Why?
Where's the sky?

She moves like liquid steam
She's a moonbeam

I took a walk on the water
to see what I'd find.
She gave me her best offer,
and then she healed me blind

She moves like liquid steam
She's a moonbeam

In this man-made world I wonder
why she wants to pull me under?
Why?
Where's the sky?

She moves like liquid steam
She's a moonbeam
Right from a vivid dream
She's a moonbeam

sorry, to these old ears your vocals are buried in the otherwise great Boiler style...

Jim,

You just replied today to the closed submissions from last year.

Are you okay man?

Do I need to come to Winston-Salem and do intervention??

Silly me. Thanks for pointing it out David. I've deleted the post. Sorry for the mistake and for making a misleading statement.

Hello!

I really like this! The various train beats are terrific. You fixed it up very nicely! The harmony on the vocal is a great treat. And I love the pedal steel that shows up here and there. very nice, indeed! Good luck.

Alan
