I'd like to know how to have more control over stereo.
A & B tracks are pretty much standard. I never seem to get off on the right foot with Band-in-a-Box, so I wind up opting for mono all along the chain. Sometimes, later in the production sequence, I wish I had the Bass/Drum on a track, and the rhythms and melodies on another, mostly for volume control. Then there is that final mix, which people listen to with stereo headphones. Mind you, I have self imposed limitations. I do record into an eight track.
I know, I can render BiaB or Reaper wavs in stages,
Still,the problem persists through the final mix. I'm missing something.
