I have tried 617 with the new vst 1.11.11 and still having problem. In pro tools it freezes with runtime error. In Bitwig it shows an error when trying to do a generate.

What version of Bitwig and Pro Tools are you using, what plugin are you using
VSTi2 or VSTi3 or VST2FX VST3FX ?

vsti2 and vsti3
pro tool 12.5 and bitwig 2.22

Just for grins make sure the .dll AAX version in the the proper folder as this is the one protocols uses

If in case you are specifying .dll file locations and for AAX versions for pro tools or else, then here is my answer. I have installed using only the default standard installation which should automatically place every file wherever it belongs. Therefore its a moot point. Sorry to say it that way.

Should and does are sometimes differ things. There has been some issues with folders and such it just makes sense to check to be sure. Especially since on PGMs side protocols works. So while it may still be a bug, maybe a placement bug it always helps to check every box.
