I did a project in BiaB 2022. Same does play nicely in the stand alone program (Windows 64 Bit). I also can export the tracks as WAW (and later load same in Reaper).

Now I start Reaper (Windows 64 Bit), create a new project, a new track and load the BiaB Plugin (VST 64 Bit, latest update).

I load the said BiaB project. I can generate it.

But when I play it, in the middle of the song the Drum Track is muted and stays so until the end. All other tracks do play nicely.

When exporting the BiaB tracks from the plugin to Reaper tracks, the same happens: just silence in the last half of the audio item.

I did not find anything special at the point in the BiaB project where the problem happens.

Is this some kind of known bug ?

Thanks or any help !
-Michael
Is it a particular RealDrum or others do it also ?

If you are using Reaper you can try this:

Hi Michael, does this continue to happen if you start a new song with the same Style? Inside of the plugin please go to Help | About - what is the version number listed there?
I can repeat similar behavior as follows (DAW Plugin 4.5.33):

1) Create a song in BIAB main program with more than 40 bars
2) Select a style with RealDrums (RD should contain more than 2 variations)
3) Change a groove variation at any part marker and save the file
4) Open DAW (I used Cakewalk by BandLab) and load the song in the plugin
5) Generate the drum track => the drum track ends around bar 36 (seems to work properly without step 3)

Tested styles _POPBRIT and _OUTFIT with the same outcome

Another drum problem in the plugin still exists:
1) Create a song in BIAB main program
2) Select a style with RealDrums
3) Change the drums to different RD than in the style and save the file
4) Open DAW and load the song in the plugin
5) Add completely different RD to a utility track
6) Generate the RD utility track => the generated track uses the same RD as the Drums track in the song (seems to work properly without step 3)

Janne,

The Band-in-a-Box plugin does not recognize the use of multiple RealDrum variations or RealDrums within a song project.

You should also be aware the plugin does not recognize the use of MultiStyles or style changes within a song project.

One solution is to use the drag & drop feature of the main Band-in-a-Box program to move the individual audio tracks from Band-in-a-Box to Cakewalk by Bandlab. You can use the DAW mode feature of the main Band-in-a-Box program to make the Band-in-a-Box window smaller. Then both it and the Cakewalk by Bandlab window can sit side-by-side on your computer screen.

Another solution is to export individual audio tracks from the main Band-in-a-Box program to the DragDrop sub folder of Band-in-a-Box and then to import the audio files into Cakewalk by Bandlab.

The plugin is feature limited and does not include all the features that are available in the main Band-in-a-Box program.
