I find it frustrating when opening a new thread to be directed to the last post, rather than the first (OP). I'd like to see the forum guru change this.

But, please do not change this unless there is a choice. The SONAR forum, for example, gives a choice of first post or last unread post.
When I open a thread (as long as I'm logged in), it takes to me to wherever I left off. If I haven't looked at the thread previously, it takes me to the first post. If I'm halfway through, it takes me to where I left off. If only he last post is new, it takes me there. I like it like that and wouldn't want to change it unless it were an option.
