Hello,
i bought the Power Track Pro Software directly here at pgmusic.com. Where i can find out my serialnumber, and how i can save the accord list to print them?

Thank you very much,
Tom

Hello Darkra85,

Welcome to the forum. When you purchased PowerTracks Pro did you order the DVD or download the file from the site?

The white DVD sleeve has a serial number sticker attached to the sleeve.

The black banner across the top of each website page has a link to sign in or register to a sales account. You had to create a sales account prior to place an order for PowerTracks Pro.

Sign in and navigate to the "My Account" page. Click on the "My Products" link to be directed to a page that shows download links and serial numbers for your products.

I don't think PowerTracks has a serial number (RealBand does, however).

When I look at my account, I can see my serial numbers for BIAB/RealBand going back several versions; however, there is no serial number associated to PowerTracks.

Hi,

That's correct, PowerTracks has never had a serial number.

Thanks

Good to know for future reference.

Is it possible to purchase PowerTracks Pro without having a PG Music sales account?

I suppose you could buy it from a third party vendor, or someone selling their copy, but why would you just not buy directly from PGMusic. If you don't buy directly from PGMusic, then it won't be available in your sales account for later download. Even though there is no serial number, it is still registered to me in my sales account (because I purchased from PGMusic). I don't think you get that if you buy from someone else (but I could be wrong and PGMusic would have to chime in on that).

Quick plug for buying direct from PG Music - there will be no problem with after sales support - and I've always found that faultless

I agree it's best to purchase direct from PG Music. However PG Music's website and sales telephone line are not the only place to buy PG Music products. I've also seen Band-in-a-Box Pro offered through Guitar Center.

I asked the question because distributors sell and support PG Music products internationally. The distributors in turn receive support from PG Music. It's a non issue for PowerTracks Pro since there is no serial number.

But what about Band-in-a-Box and RealBand?

In my experience, with BiaB and RB the disks you buy have a serial number on them you can register with PGMusic, even if bought from a 3rd party reseller/vendor.
After that the support from PGMusic is just as valid as if bought here.
Just one of many things that make PGMusic support top-notch.

/or did I misunderstand the question? (I don't actually see a question in your post now that I look .. though you said "I asked the question because .." )

The question was in the fifth post from the top. Basically I'm wondering if the international distributors register sold products with PG Music since English may be a barrier for some of their customers.

Hi Jim,

Since there's no serial number to register in your online account, PowerTracks can't be sold by third parties as a download.

It'll be delivered on DVDs, so an account on our website wouldn't be needed. You also wouldn't need an account on our website if you order it from us by phone and choose to have discs shipped (though you'd have an account in our internal database).

If an international dealer sells a Band-in-a-Box download, they just give the customer a serial number, and the customer (not the dealer) creates an account and registers that serial to get download links.

Thanks
Kent

Hi, first time forum user. Asking for advice on exporting an edited WAV file from Powertracks 12. The audio is distorted. Any guidance?

Do the bitrates match between PT and whatever you are using for a player?

Maybe PT is set to 16/44 and the player is set to 24/48 or something.
