I use PowerTracks Pro Audiio 14. Is it possible mix down using an external mixer? The reason I would like to do this is just that I find on-screen mixing a bit of a pain! If it can be done can anyone recommend a suitable mixer?

I have not used one.
I know for a while PGMusic sold one that (I think) sent the mixer changes (CC messages) as MIDI data which the programs responded to, but I'm not sure which ones may still do that.

Did you know you can record mixer changes in the Mixer window?
That way you do it once and save it.
Another thing that helps with the on screen mixer is using an ASIO driver; they are much more responsive time-wise to any changes.

Then there's the Nodes in the tracks view, but you have to b careful with those. You can end up creating a whole lot of data accidentally.

Yeah I knew about recording mixer changes in the mixer window. Haven't used an ASIO driver, may have to give it a go, thanks.

Yeah, ASIO helps make the delay/lag go away, it's much more real and fluid.
If I move a slider I here it pretty much 'now'.

Makes a lot of aspects to music creation better (if you have ASIO available).
If you don't, you could try ASIO4All .. it's a wrapper (not true ASIO) but usually better than nothing.
