Hi - I think I have posted this request before, Anyway here it goes..
I’m trying to get an angry sax sound (Song is Whatever gets you through the Night - John Lennon and Elton John). I have both Session Horns and Session Horns Pro by Native Instruments. I have tried settings in the sessions software and cannot get anything raw enough. I tried recording the track, converting it to audio, and adding PG Music built in distortion add in. Still not raw enough.
Any suggestions appreciated!

Some other RealBand Audio Effects you could try playing around with are the Compressor and the Exciter. There is also a Vinyl effect you can access by going to Audio Effects > DirectX Audio Plugins, and selecting PG Vinyl Tool. That could help you get a nice raw sound.

If those don't get it to where you want it, I'd recommend trying out some third-party plugins. There are plenty of distortion VST plugins out there, and one of them is sure to be able to capture the tone you're going for.
