Hi:

I didn't find the way to extract each and every midi track separately from a sequence, which was done from a multitrack record.
thanks for any help

Hi lobster, I just would like to clarify. Are you bringing in a MIDI file that has multiple tracks in it into PowerTracks? Or do you have a project in PowerTracks that already has multiple MIDI tracks and you want each track exported out as an individual MIDI file?

Try
Render - Save All Tracks To File

Pay attention to the options along the way.

Hi Chantelle:

As you probably know I'm using Soundcraft MKT12,and I did try it in PTW, and works, so now using it could done some recordings , both audio and midi.
So for external use with other software I would like to brings the midi tracks out of, so that's it.

Lobster.

please clarify are you trying to take a midi file OUT OF
ptw OR bring a midi file created elsewhere in another software INTO ptw.

i might suggest IF your trying to bring a midi file INTO ptw, you post the *.mid somewhere on the net thus making it easier to help you.

more details would help. please.

might i suggest also (although i still think ptw is huge value for money and i started on it years ago) that you might consider at some point even the cheapest biab pak
which i found opened up a whole new vista of possibilities when i got it years ago for creating songs....cos it includes
realband, which is like ptw on steroids and includes session players playing various instruments etc.
both biab and rb have too many accompanient features for me to list.
the upgrade is peanuts in cost, and rocked my world when i got it. it meant i didnt have to hire session players in big studios, and saved me a lot of money.

glad you got the soundcraft working.

ps when i used to use powertraks in the past i found the bars window extremely usefull in moveing bars of audio and midi traks around. the same feature is in realband.
i hope youve discovered the many triks in ptw bars window. eg moving bars(s) of midi from one trak to another etc.

Hi:

Thanks for your very good information, surely will consider it , asking to your question : want to extract every midi track from a recording, separately, so can work it out in other software. I know PWT since version 4, that's why I still keep updating, it's getting more powerful, as you said, very affordable comparing to other similar software products.
But I haven't see the option to extract those midi tracks, only audio, so I will try in EXTRACT AUDIO so maybe it's there some option.

lobster.

based on your info given.

I'M ASSUMING YOUR TRYING TO TAKE MIDI TRAKS FROM PTW TO YOUR OTHER SOFTWARE CORRECT ?? what is your other software ?

in realband (and i assume ptw is the same) i simply clik daw plug in and clik mouse on the trak no at left of trak and drag trak to the 'other software'. in my case reaper.

dont you have daw plug in mode like i have in realband ?

does your other software support drag/drop ?

Again, if you pay attention to the options for Render - Save all tracks to individual files (WAV,MID...
you will see where they moved this feature to
It is there, just in a different place on the menu

As the previous poster said, you can usually click on the track number and Drag it into the other DAW if that is the goal.
