RealDrums Intros, Solos & 4 Bar Endings Tutorial - 10/13/14 09:34 PM

Below are examples, the last number is the bar location in your DAW and the second last is the length in bars.
You can also record a vocal count-in if you like.
Creating: at the end of the RealDrums tracks you have Shots n Holds that you can use also to make up the the new intros, solos & endings.
To let them ringout put them in another track below:
NOTE: if you are making them for drums that don't have substyles eg: RockEven8, make a new folder RockEven8-Intros in the Drums root Directory.
Using them:
(Realband)
Intros: Set Bar Offset to -2, highlight bar -1 and 0 > Generate Intros.
Fills: Highlight any section > Generate Fills.
4 Bar Endings: Uncheck 2 Bar Ending, add 8 more bars to song, highlight
5 bars > Generate 4 Bar Endings
(Band in a Box)
Intros: F5 bar 1 set RealDrums > Intros, F5 set bar 2 set RealDrums > Normal.
Fills: F5 bar ? set RealDrums > Fills, F5 next bar set RealDrums back > Normal
4 Bar Endings: Set Chorus to 1 put chorus repeats in manually,
Generate and Freeze Instrument tracks, Song Settings Uncheck 2 Bar Ending,
add 8 more bars to End, F5 5th bar Drums mute, F5 set RealDrums > 4barEndings.

If you are using Mac and don't have a DAW or Realband yet:
Here is a Bar Label plugin for Audacity to give you Bars n Beats bmp-labels.ny go to Generate Menu > BPM Labels set start bar to -1 put the original drum track in the top and add a new stereo track, copy section from the top track and paste in the new drum intro/solo/ending track, using the Time Shift Tool to arrange them where you like.
