A fast way to shutdown a Windows 10 computer is to press the Alt and F4 keys at the same time while the desktop is visible.

This opens a Windows Shutdown pop up window with Shutdown as the default selection. All you have to do is press Enter and the computer closes Windows and shuts down.

I know Alt+F4 as a very early Windows command to shut down a tabbed window. I never thought to try it one level further, when all tabbed windows are already closed. I’ll have to try this tip. Thanks, Jim.
