Real Band’s Compatibility with PreSonus AutoBox Studio 1 - 03/05/14 07:25 PM
I’ve been having a lot of trouble trying to use Real-Drums in my pre recorded audio files.
I’ve rerecorded the tracks for better timing. The songs are now metronome perfect in 4/4 time at 120 bpm. Yet I can not get any of the Real Drum tracks to stay in sync for more than a dozen or so bars, even when using the ACW and tapping in the time as demonstrated by one of our members' Youtube tutorials.
I’ve been recording using an external mixer and importing the pre mixed audio files into Real Band, which I understand is not the best way to do this. I just can’t get a good sound quality when recording directly into Real Band of BB, most likely due to an inferior sound card in my PC and medium quality mic.
Several members have suggested a mixer with a better sound card, such as TasCam or PreSonus AutoBox.
I’m now considering buying the PreSonus AudioBox Studio 1 package that includes a M7 condenser mic, headphones and the Studio 1 software.
On the Youtube Tutorial linked below it says a midi file can be used to link virtual instruments to the guitar track see marker # 2214 where a bass track is played on a regular six string guitar and dragged down one octave making a finger bass sound.
It is implied that any virtual instrument can be duplicated in this way. What I need to know before buying this product is will it be compatible with Real Tracks, Real Drums and Real Band, or am I also going to have to purchase other virtual instruments.
I’m not sure if this link is allowed. It might be considered advertising, although it is a tutorial. Please fill in the DOT or remove link altogether if it against guidelines.
