Suddenly RB 2018 is freezing up when loading certain files. Files that are a year or more old that always worked before. Certain files will freeze up when "initializing accompaniment function" appears. On some, that never leaves the screen. On some, when it does, the comments dialog is on the screen and when I try to X it out....the program freezes and I have to shut it down using task manager. On the ones that load properly at least one track is heavily distorted. Some times several are. It is completely unusable.

I'm confused. You said that "RB 2018" is having problems, then say "Real Band" is working fine.

Anyway...

I would first look at your ASIO settings; perhaps switch temporarily to MME, then back to ASIO. That sometimes solves the problem.

I would also probably delete (or rename) RealBand.cfg and RB.INI (with RealBand closed), which basically returns everything back to default settings. You'll have to set up your sound card and RT/RD folder locations again, but this sometimes helps as well.
