Hi folks, Happy new year (oh my, the 1st quarter is nearly gone)! Can you stop the RealBand global reset message from appearing when it's reopened after a crash? Be-CAUSE, RB crashes too often. And, if like me, you have Windows' cursor set to 'Snap To,' you're one errant click away from 'Yes, reset all RB settings to defaults.' You lose your driver settings, preferences, et. al.

So, rather than turn 'Snap To' off, and since RB seems to continue to be somewhat unstable as more and more tracks, plugins, etc. are added, I'd like to eliminate the risk of losing all my settings. RB's just trying to be cautious and helpful, but it's at fault, not the OS or the hardware. Peace all!

I know of no way to change this behavior. We as users have limited control over stuff like this.

I would point out though that RB is offering to reset the RB settings/preferences, not system settings, so the OS and hardware would remain unaffected to everything but RB.
This simply resets what devices RB is using (in case the issue is between RB and a given device).
Curious, what drivers are you using that would be changed if accepted (or causing the problem)?

FWIW I regularly go through 2-3 hour sessions recording 6-8 tracks at a time and do not see this issue, so I'm pretty sure it is system/device specific (meaning RB is not playing nice with something in your system). The question is what/why .. and I understand I may be more the exception than the rule.

You mention this happens as tracks/plugins are added. In my years using PT/RB I have found I suspect plugins first. That's why I have my go-to (reliable) plugins list in RB.

Just some ideas and suggestions on how I use RB.
