Hi All,

I have a song in realband that has the chords Em, C, B etc. (G Major)

When I listen to the guitar the chords are played at various positions on the guitar neck. Some chords played near the nut some up the neck.

Is there any way to force the chords to be played in the lower part of the guitar neck?

Hope this makes sense and thanks!!

Cheers!!

No way to guarantee the regenerated chords will play in the lower portion of the guitar neck but there are multiple methods in RB to generate multiple versions of the track and that should generate different phrasings of the chords that aren't to your liking.

. On your guitar track, select a bar (or bars) that you want the lower part of the neck chord but it's currently playing the chord from a different part of the neck. Once it's selected and highlighted, hit the Generate Button, select multi riff and RealBand will generate 7 versions of the selected bars. Hopefully one will be from the lower portion of the neck. If not, generate 7 multi riffs again and review 7 new versions. If successful, proceed to the next offending chord and repeat the process.
. If multi riff fails to produce a satisfactory lower neck chord. Select the guitar RealTrack and render a second track of the instrument and from the new track, copy chords that are satisfactory to you and paste them over the offending chords on the first track. You can also copy/paste from the original track but it's preferable to create a second track because of BIAB/RB's nature to alter each rendition of an instrument slightly with each generation and using chords from the second track should offer you more chord strumming variations.

Hi Charlie!

Thanks for the response smile

It makes a lot of sense.

Maybe the SW peeps could come up with a solution that would allow the user to select a range prior to generating chords.

Or it may be impossible to do. Just a thought.

Cheers!
