Hi;

I am EQing my midi tracks using the PG Ten Band EQ. I have noticed that my EQ settings are associated with a VST plugin instead of an individual track. In other words, if I EQ a guitar track and remove some bass, I am also removing bass from the (e.g.) drums because they are using the same VST plugin.

My solution has been to load multiple instances of my ARIA VST plugin when working in RealBand. This allows me to put my bass and bass drum through ARIA#1, my piano through ARIA#2, the cymbals through ARIA#3, …

This approach allows me to have more control over each individual track but it seems inefficient.

Is there a better way?

Thanks

This is the expected behavior.

Thanks for the confirmation.

It is because a single instance of the synth is affected after its output.
If you need different FX you have to use multiple instances, which is easily available.

Glad you figured out the solution without too much frustration. wink

FWIW, sometimes its easier to render the individual MIDI tracks to audio tracks and then use FX.
For some synths, WAVs are less resource intensive than another synth instance.
