So I really like what the Real drums can do, however I sometimes find mixing them in my DAW (Samplitude Music Studio 2016) to be a challenge, as all instruments are in one track.

Reverb on the kick is a no no IMO, but you have to do it with one drum track.

Trying to get the right sounds out of one track of drums with a snare and rim click...challenging...but it can be done.

An easier way would be Midi drums...So now to my question.

Is there a way in RB or BB to have a midi drum track, with or without the real drums?

With the midi drum track I can break it down...make things sound like they should with a lot less effort.

Thanks

Create your midi drum kit and save to a style. Rebuild Stylepicker so your custom style will be included in the Stylepicker.

Right click on the Realdrums track and select force drums track to midi drums.

Right click on the Drums button in the top screen tool bar

Select: custom midi style

Select: style with this patch

Select: (your custom patch) from the list

Select drums track (This should be the track you saved your midi drum kit to when you created the custom style)

Your custom drum kit will import to the midi drum track of the song.

Charlie what are the steps to create your MIDI drum Kit? Is this in RB? Not sure why this is under wishlist if all the functionality is in RealBand today.
