In the RB Notation window, if you use the numpad "Ins/0" and numpad "Del/." keys, the notes will highlight in red and audition through the current synth on the track.

It would be useful if you could press the "Delete" key on a highlighted note to be able to delete it, rather than to hold the delete key and click the note with the mouse.

Agree that this would be useful; however, the way it works is the way it has always worked as far back as I can remember (even before there was a RealBand and just PowerTracks, which operates very similarly).
