Hello,

It seems that BIAB wants to play all the instruments on Channel 1 and so all instruments have the same sound.

I noticed that if I go to Options - MIDI Settings I see that instead of having:

Bass: Channel 2
Piano: Channel 3
etcetera

I have
Bass: Channel 1
Piano: Channel 1

I tried a reinstall, a reset to factory settings and deleting the content of the Preference folder, but they didn't work.

This happens not only if I open an old song but even if I make a new one. If I change the channels manually the song plays fine, but when I start a new one all the channels go back to 1.
I never messed up with any settings so I really can't understand why this happens.

I'm not sure what would have caused it, but it should have been resolved by this action, unless you had BIAB running... Try again to delete the Prefs files, but make sure to close Band-in-a-Box first...
