experienced mac user here but new to the nuts & bolts of band in a box; I have chords inputted but what are the steps in setting up say 2 verses, a chorus, then back to a final verse and chorus and out; it looks like you don't use things like 1st & 2nd endings

also I have strings coming in at a 2nd verse and I'm not sure how to turn that off; thx in advance

Welcome to BIAB forum!

The strings coming in is because it goes to the "B" part of the style after the first chorus. You can turn this off in song settings ( don't allow substyle alterations ).

The verses/choruses/endings thing is a perennial source of confusion. There's a tutorial on it in the support section of this site. For starting out, it's probably just easiest to lay your song out in "linear" fashion, without any repeats (you can copy and paste sections). That way you get your music playing right away, while you learn how BIAB uses choruses/endings/etc.
