????

There was a build 129 that was released on or about June 13, 2016.

And so is this build a re-build of the previous build ???

Andrew, MrMagoo is confused.
hi andrew,

thanks for the "play when chosen" add.
lovin' it.

Hi Andrew,

Did you ever talk to the developers about the regaining lost functionality from earlier versions I have already mentioned in earlier posts?

Briefly:

1) a 4th option for playback which keeps playback ALWAYS STARTING from the CURRENT BAR selected. This would be a huge asset for all the folks that use BIAB as a serious practice tool. It is a pain, to have have to hit more key commands (or use your mouse) to always back scroll to the bar in the middle of the song you want to work from...

2) to streamline the loop function, i.e., similar to above - once you have highlighted any number of bars to loop, to keep them highlighted and looping EVEN AFTER STOPPING PLAYBACK. Again, after stopping playback, one has to go back to the tab or menu bar, re-select those bars again - very cumbersome. Why do the developers assume that we will only want to loop something for one playback hit. Many people may have to stop playback to address the musical phrase without accompaniment , then try again with the BIAB accompaniment.

Again, the logic here for both issues above is (and in the older versions of BIAB, both the above functions applied and used to work as I described): when practicing any given phrase, one might want to stop playback and start again from the same point in the middle of the song. the less toggling and fumbling of computer keys or mouse one has to do, the easier one can focus on learning a phrase of music well with the BIAB accompaniment quickly accessed with the hit of the space bar.

The idea is simply to add these lost options to what already works well in BIAB. Surely this could be addressed in a new build without having to wait until a new version of BIAB? Please let me know if I am barking up the wrong tree from something I may not be aware of from a software developer's point of view, and I'll stop posting on this subject.

I just can't believe I am the only who misses this lost functionality.

best regards, Carlos
Yes, we have discussed the first item and agree it would be useful to have that option. We don't have a specific timeline for it though. We will look into the second item (looping), that might be a bug.
great, thanks Andrew for the reply.

Here's to hoping you can convince the software developers to rectify these 2 items in the next build! :-)

Ok, back to practicing my II V's in all 12 keys - on one diatonic harmonica!

all the best, Carlos
