Mark me as (a) stupid and (b) ticked off. (This is a rant.)
I purchased BiaB 2019 Pro on 1 Feb 2020, have been unable to install it on my Mac (thanks for the help PG Music) and now, 5 weeks later, you want me to pay another $50 to get a program upgrade to fix bugs? Really? And you think this is a reasonable way to do business? Do you people at PG Music even read these forums?
For me, basically BiaB is $130 wasted. Thanks for pretty much nothing, guys. Back to iRealPro. Not as elegant nor flexible but it works and they don't gouge me for bug fixes.
Hello Mark,
I'll message you right now with some more ideas, and we'll try again to figure out a solution for the bootup problem...
I will add my 2 cents here...
In the 10 years (and like 4 upgrades) I have been using BIAB, I have been very satisfied, but....
October 30th I had to get BIAB 2019 because my Mac (like all of ours) went to 64 bit...
Now, 4 months later, 2020 comes out, and I am expected to upgrade like anyone else....
After getting the 2019, I couldn't talk to anyone in Tech for love nor money....three years ago it was cake...thankfully I figured it out.
So, what is happening to PG music? Commitment to customers and helping solve our problems?
Good grief, even the giants who don't care about us (parallels, adobe, etc) give us more of a break...
Sorry folks, just disappointed in a company that I have raved about for years....
Steve
Feeling your pain, Steve.
I went in with very high hopes but it seems the 2019 64-bit version is badly undercooked. Then to charge for an upgrade to "fix" the problems seems very rich.
Now, Andrew @ PGMusic is helping me out here but my problem is in the seriously odd box. Or I'm early in the list of broken, hard to know which.
Until they get this sorted I'd like them to get their acts together re pricing and upgrades, if only to keep their long-time user base loyal. But that's me.
We live in strange times...
Hello everyone !
I worked for 24 years (1989-2013) in a large musical instrument shop in Rome (Italy) in the Apple computer and music software department. I have seen all the evolution of the applications, first midi and then audio & midi ....
In the years, i have sold many copies of BIABox (for Mac, Atari and PC). I also purchased the BIAB 2019 upgrade on October 29th (64-bit). Now comes the 2020 version that I purchased hoping that they had implemented the StyleMaker in the 64-bit version. No, it hasn't been implemented yet !! Yes Mark, Yes Steve it's really strange times .. Renato
An update to 2019 was released today. That version is still supported.
