First off, I have a M1 MacBook Pro Monterey 12.01, BIAB Version 2021 (515)

I am trying to record a guitar part through a Steinberg UR22MKII interface.
These are the steps I'm taking:

1. Press Record Audio and select Record audio to: Audio
2. Press Audio Options->Audio Devices and select my interface.
3. Press Set Recording levels and the Mac preferences panel appears and I can see audio is coming in.
4. Press Test Recording levels (VU Meters) and I can see audio is coming in.
5. Press Record, play some, the VU is showing audio, hit space bar to stop, press Play and nothing recorded.

I tried recording with the built-in mic but still nothing.
What could be the problem?

Another thing to check is to go to Options | CoreMIDI Audio MIDI setup. Make sure your format is 44100 Hz and 16 bit here. If 16 bit is not available then 24 bit should be okay.
