I imported a midi file and tried to separate the individual tracks and am unable to do so. I have moved/copied every single track of my midi file to a separate "utility track" and I get nothing, but it does remove the track from the midi "solo" track (when using move). Yes - I used the copy/move special pulldown menu option.

I've watched several tutorials and worked along with each step and even used different midi files in case something might be off. Is there a trick to getting this working on Mac? Every tutorial I've seen is based on Windows.

Thanks

Tim.
If the MIDI file contains multiple tracks within it, drag/drop the file into Band-in-a-Box to import it. This way a window will pop up where you can set which of the Utility tracks the different parts import to.

Yes.. I was moving the individual tracks within the midi.. I could only copy them to the utility tracks and not the RealTracks tracks. Once I got this figured out, I can pretty much do what I want to do.
