Is it possible to convert MIDI files into Yamaha .STY files so I can play it on the Yamaha Genos??

Genos does not appear on this list, so you would need to click the link for your OS to view the tutorial on how to make your own patch map.

In this instance a patch map will not be helpful.

What a patch map does is tell the software program (Band-in-a-Box, Garageband, etc.) the names of all the Genos patches. That way the patch names agrees in the program and the Genos when you select a patch.

In this case Genos wants a utility program that converts a MID song file into a Yamaha compatible style. Band-in-a-Box can not do that. However, you may be able to find a utility convertor program in a Yamaha keyboard forum.
