Hello all,

I finally installed my BIAB 2020 Megapak onto my iMac after sitting on it for a while. I put in some chords for a song and proceeded to go through the various styles in the stylepicker.

The problem is that whenever I test the style with the Play using current chords for song option BIAB tends to crash after just a few samples of the different styles. It doesn't crash if I used the Quick - Play using premade demo(Not chords of song) option.

Is this a problem anybody else has run into?

Granted, I am on an older iMac, but I still have plenty of memory available, so I don't know why it keeps crashing.

Just to add, don't know if it makes a difference, but I am running OS 10.11.6 El Capitan.

10.11.6 should be alright for running Band-in-a-Box 2020. Please check that you have the latest build update installed. Go to Help | About Band-in-a-Box and the build number is the number in brackets after the version year. The latest currently available for version 2020 is build 426: https://www.pgmusic.com/support_macintoshupdates.htm#2020_426

If updating doesn't help, please go to Options | Return to Factory Settings.

I thought I did update it right after I installed it as recommended during the install, but I guess it didn't update or something. The build number it shows is 403 currently.

when I clicked on Check for updates, it gave me a link to download build 423. Do you think it would be ok to bypass that and just download build 426?
It does say that you need to have Build 401 or higher for the 426 update to work, and I do have that.

Yes, you can skip 423 and go right to installing 426 because 426 is cumulative of the earlier builds.
