I just saw the trailer for Denny Tedesco's follow up to "The Wrecking Crew" about "The Immediate Family". All those old side players now together in their own band with interviews of the long list of major acts they backed. Supposed to be released on December 12th 2023, which is about a year later than initial projections said. I don't care about the delay, and I'll buy a digital download the day it comes out.

Russ Kunkel
Leland Sklar
Steve Postell
Danny Kortchmar
Waddy Wachtel

Guessing how many albums they played on would be like the contest where you have to guess how many jelly beans are in the big jar.

And the title of this post came about because the youngest of the bunch is 75 now. 75, guys. Russ Kunkel, he of the flowing hair pounding those drums, is now bald as an egg, but man, he still keeps perfect time. Leland and his beard to his belt (I cleaned that up), Waddy, still with the shoulder length hair, now all silver...

Hardly waiting to get this movie.

I supported the original Wrecking Crew movie on Kickstarter, because it would never be shown in my Podunk town. I got the DVD, bonus DVD and a ball cap.

Hal Blaine is supposedly the person who has been on more recordings than anyone else on the planet. I also play drums and indirectly, Hal is one of my teachers.

I'd like to see the new movie when it comes out.
