Fabulous and generous player.

A great loss of another master.

Great sax player, great person. A real musician's musician. I had the great pleasure of being on a tour and performing with him back in the 80's. My sincere thoughts to his family. Another great loss for the music world.

There are so few people who are ready to step up and fill the shoes of greats like Moody when we lose them. The artform is slowly dying.

RIP - another great is gone. The music "upstairs" will be sweeter now.

The players and composers are there, however, the recording companies are just not "pushing" nor signing the new jazz artists as they once did.

I think that what has changed is the way we, as aficionados, have to find this "next generation" - and support them.

James Moody.
