This might look like a commercial - well, I guess it is. I've been posting here for 10+ years with nary a commercial, but I have to give props to my little sister.

This is the title track - doesn't really highlight her vocal chops/pipes.

More tracks will be up on CDBaby soon - as will the CD.

End of commercial.
Outstanding! (I know you're not proud of her or anything.)

Very well produced, and she is obviously a great talent. Can't wait to hear more.

scott, in a word...fabulous! i listen to pandora all day and she's better than any of the top female vocalists i hear. you have every right to be proud of her. did you do the mix/mastering? very professional studio-sounding. wayt'go, amigo and amiga.
She has a beautiful voice and she's written a very good song with a positive message. I hope she does very well with her CD.

Lil' sis has done you proud!
Good, very good! Heck man, I am proud for you!

I wish her the very best and hope she gets as big as she wants to be.

Later,
I didn't do any mixing or mastering, but did offer up opinion on instrumentation, effects, etc. Most of it was too late to make a difference.

She has a rather long story about the mixing process which is kind of an unhappy story. It's taken her a very long time to get up the courage to do this and I think it will probably be the last project she does for a very long time.

She has almost a captured customer base in that she leads worship at Womens conferences and one of those conferences almost made her sign a deal that she would have merchandise available - my understanding is not that they will make money off of it, but that they wouldn't have to answer about how to get hold of Heather's material away from the conferences.

I can tell you who did the recording - he's a good guy with a good pop-sensibility ear. His name is Dave Elwart, based in Indianapolis. You can find him on Reverbnation as well. Dave did not do the final mixing or mastering.

When the CDBaby stuff goes live, then I'll point folks there, because there will be more samples of the variety that is on the CD.
Me ears like what me hear! Good stuff!
beautiful voice and sounds great.
Very good work here. She's a mix of Martina Mcbride and Leann Rymes. What more can I say but that- comparing her to two super power voices in the country scene. Heather has it all- the whole package. Best of luck to her naviagting the waters. Full potential is right there.
